The first “UKIYO-E” leather is “Great Wave” by Hokusai.
This is really famous since many museums around the world exhibit it. You
can find this on Japanese passport and a next generation 1000yen bill.
Everyone knows this wave even though they don't know its title.
Modern Suri-shi paints this “Great Wave” on leather with a traditional
method from the Edo period. We also challenge laser engraved UKIYO-E applying
sculptured wood blocks for traditional UKIYO-E.
Please keep in mind that a few UKIYO-E leather will be released in one
year since one piece of UKIYO-E leather takes time and methods. |

UKIYO-E on Wa-shi can be enjoyed by only looking at it but what if UKIYO-E
is printed on leather...? We of course can take patterns from those leather
and create leather gears with UKIYO-E. Modern Suri-shi paints UKIYO-E with
traditional methods and PAIR SLOPE creates leather gears. We believe no
one in the world has seen leather gears with UKIYO-E except our masterpieces. |

PAIR SLOPE picks the wild taste horse leather for laser sculptured UKIYO-E.
Bags and wallets made from horse leather themselves are difficult to find.
Furthermore, precise and beautiful UKIYO-E on those gears makes them more
valuable and fulfill your pleasure of possession. |
